Upcoming Friends' events
Events involving the Society's sister organisation, the Friends of Alfred Williams, have been organised.
On Tuesday, Feburary 23, at Highworth Library, there will be an hour-long reading of Alfred's poetry, starting at 2.30pm.
Then, on Saturday, March 6, starting at 2pm (doors open 1pm), there is a joint meeting of the Richard Jefferies Society and the Friends of Alfred Williams, at the newly opened Old House at Coate, a museum dedicated to Jefferies. Short passages by both writers will be read.
The Friends have also organised a public reading at Swindon Central Library on Monday, June 21, starting at 7.30pm.
